The Master of Enchanting event kicks off tomorrow in Lineage II and runs through July 14. Master Yogi is offering prizes to players who enchant his staff. Enchant scrolls will drop off monsters, or you'll be able to buy 24 of them off Yogi every six hours. You can even avoid that time restraint by paying 77,777 adena for each additional scroll.

Players will use these scrolls to enchant the staff as much as possible. The higher you enchant it, the great the reward you will receive from Yogi. Enchant scrolls will stop dropping from monsters on July 7, but you'll still be able to buy them from Yogi through July 14.

Prizes range from fireworks for a low-level staff enchant to an S80 Grade Weapon Chest for the top enchant level. More information can be found on the official event page.

If you've ever wanted to change your character's class in Lineage II, you're in luck. The team has announced that the Subclass Change account service will be introduced on June 9 and will cost $49.99. Also, you can now use the Name Change account service every three months instead of every six months.

More information on the Subclass Change account can be found on the official news page or below. You can also see how players are reacting to the announcement in this thread on the official forum. What are your thoughts on the price? Is $50 too expensive, or is it justified for the service?

Today at the Sony Press Conference, Square Enix delivered exciting news to the MMORPG world and to the citizens of Vana'diel. A new world, Eorzea, is the stage set for their new title, Final Fantasy XIV Online, apparently set for release in 2010 for the PC and PlayStation 3.

Threads in the FFXI forums have already begun to spring up faster than you can say "chocobo," but the ZAM Network has created a special forum for discussion and speculation on this brand new title. Be sure to head on over there to swoon over the trailer (now available in HD at the official website) and discuss anything and everything FF14 related with the gaming community!

Also, stay tuned tomorrow for our coverage of the Square Enix Press Conference at E3, scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM PST! Tamat, our Editor in Chief, will be there to report all the details on the forums, so be sure to keep an eye on the FFXI General Discussion Forum tomorrow morning. For those of you unable to view the forums at that time, we'll also be providing Twitter updates here. Or simply follow us on Twitter to get updates sent directly to your cell phone!

Lineage II's fifth anniversary event was originally scheduled to end on May 5, but has been extended until tomorrow, May 12, since it "did not cooperate as it should have," according to a post on the official site.

The event requires you to collect the letters A, C, E, G, I, L, N, R, S, Y, 5, and II from monsters to spell out the words LINEAGE II, GRACIA and 5YEARS. The letters will continue to drop until tomorrow's maintenance begins, which is also when the event NPCs will be removed from the game. Be sure to hand in all your letters before the NPCs disappear.

There's all sorts of stuff going on in the world of Lineage II right now. As we've reported, the Gracia Final expansion has launched and the game's fifth anniversary event is under way. But wait, there's more! Until May 18, if you subscribe to the game for six months, you'll get one month free. If you subscribe for a year, you'll get two months free. You can even take advantage of the savings if you're already a subscriber.

Also, all former players' accounts that were in good standing have been reactivated. So if you'd like to take a peek at your old character and see what's going on for the game's fifth anniversary, you have until May 11 to sign in for free.

Lastly, the NCsoft West dev team has written a short diary entry about clan updates in Gracia Final. The clan level cap has been raised to 11; clans can now control their own airships of they meet the prerequisites; and the Rim Pailaka Rune dungeon has been released. You can read the full diary entry after the jump.

We are happy to announce our newest ZAM site, which is dedicated to SOE's ground breaking MMO Free Realms.  In the 10 years I have been doing this, I don't think I have ever made a post saying go play this game, but here it is -- go play this game.  If you have a young child as I do, you are going to love Free Realms.  It is the Bugs Bunny of gaming, simple enough in many areas to entertain a kid, but complex and mature enough to keep adults interested too.  Free Realms is not for the hard core raider, but those who like to play an hour or two at a time will find themselves coming back and playing it over and over again.  There is a huge amount of content available for free and even more for a minimal $5.00 monthly fee.  Most important of all, the game is just plain fun.  But don't just listen to me.  Since it is free to sign up and you can start playing in literally minutes, there is little reason to not give it a try and decide for yourselves.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  I know I was.  For a more information, check out Pwyff's preview.

Our Free Realms Site is still in its infancy, but will be growing up quickly.  Soon we will have a full fledged database for it.  In the meantime, we enourage anyone who is playing to help expand our wiki and post your questions in our forum.
